Cornerstone Confirmation Class Resumes

Wednesday, October 6th at 6:00 pm

Welcome Fall! Now that everyone has had time to get into school and fall sports, it is now time to return to Conformation Classes at Cornerstone. Our first gathering is October 6th. Class will be at 6:30 pm-8 pm. Going forward, dessert will be served instead of dinner, and we will continue to share in conversation and learning more about our faith.

To prepare for a more normative year, Pastor Melissa would like to have a time with both parents or guardians and students on October 6th at 6:30 pm. At that time, we will go over the expectations, responsibilities, and opportunities that come with being in Confirmation Class. Students will also receive a schedule for the rest of the year 2021, sign up for dessert, and have a time of orientation and discussion. Service Event: Meal Packing

Our teens will be act in service to pack nutritious meals to children around the world at the FMSC location in Schaumburg. Online sign-up is needed at https://www.fmsc.org/join-group?joincode=4VG004

About Confirmation Class:

All youth in grades 6 through 12 are invited to join us at church for dessert, fellowship, and fun!

The confirmation program provides our youth with an opportunity to build new relationships within the church, engage in mission opportunities, study the Scriptures, and explore their beliefs and doubts. Confirmation is not the end of our faith journey but just the beginning; confirmands will be introduced to resources within the church and beyond that will assist them in the lifelong journey of discipleship.
