Parsonage Update

The Carletta Lane parsonage has been sold and the staff house is now the new parsonage. The staff house needs upgrades to meet the discipline requirements for a parsonage. The trustees are working on the changes necessary to meet those requirements. The architect has been hired and we are moving into the details needed to move forward. One of the first steps is to check the soil conditions to see what might be necessary to handle construction for the foundation. We also need to get information on the septic system status and that test will be done in soon.

Thanks to Our Helpers

In the heavy windstorm on Thursday March 18th, we lost the big tree in the backyard of the parsonage. It was a blessing as we did not have to climb the tree or use ladders to take it down. All we had to do was to cut it up, haul it to the burn pile, and repair the fence. Thanks to Dave Stokes with his chain saw, Jim Northrup and Bill Werst for their laboring, and Charles MacArthur for bring his skid steer over to carry the tree to the burn pile.

Weekly Weeders Wanted

Spring is here and I know everyone is anxious to get out into the fresh air. The church landscapers will be back in action with the Weekly Weeders on Wednesday mornings. We need volunteers to assist us with the grounds, so if you are interested in helping once in a while or regularly on Wednesdays, please contact Bill Werst.

We look forward to being in service to our Lord.
