National Night Out Fun and Appreciation

Praise the Lord for a wonderful evening and a great turnout for our National Night Out event on Tuesday, August 2nd, to honor our First Responders- the Pingree Grove Fire Protection District personnel and the Kane County Sheriff. The ambulance crew from Pingree Grove did a great job showing the kids what takes place in the ambulance. We pray for the Sheriff Deputy who was called out and unable to attend and that the call was safely handled. We look forward to the department next year.

Thank you to the trustees for their hard work: Eric Hutchcroft, Bruce Clay, Jim Northrop, Dave Stokes, and Bill Werst. We also offer prayer for Corey Toppel’s continued healing.

The Activity Committee also lent great support: Ken Pfortmiller, Gale Vician, Barb Schening, Ruth Werst, Dick Kostka, Linda Lowery, Marilou Haworth, and Jenna Brandes.

Special thanks to the church staff for all that they did: Pastor Melissa, Beth Firsching, Suzanne Lattanzio, and Jay Hemphill. We also want to acknowledge the help of Craig Werrbach, Kristina Hemphill, Kim Lowery, and our Ministry Council Chairperson Charles Horton.

We greatly appreciated the music provided Kristina Hemphill, Charles Horton, and Jay Hemphill with the Elevate Project.

In addition, the food trucks were a hit! Thank you to A.R. BBQ/Kabob, Yummy’s Ice Cream Truck, and Your Sister’s Tomato Wood Fired Pizza trucks.
