November 2022 Pastor’s Letter
From the Desk of Pastor Melissa
Dear Friends,
Autumn is a season of transformation. The greens of summer give way to vibrant reds and golds, and even the air feels alive as we prepare for a new season in life. It is a joy to know that all things are made new by our Creator—even you and me.
Our November worship series is called Re:newed. This series is designed to help us to Re:gain Our Relationships, learn how to Re:align Ourselves, and Re:frame Our Happiness. In other words, what does it mean for us as Christians to be Re:newed?
The past few months have been exciting at Cornerstone! Through outreach to the community at our National Night Out event, Trunk or Treat, and Stepping Stones, we are touching lives. In worship and study, we are growing in our love for God and neighbor.
We have implemented in a strategic and intentional social media campaign to engage folk. We are also preparing a Saturday night worship event called Common Ground. Common Ground will begin at 5pm on February 25, 2023. This service is designed to reach the unchurched and marginally churched.
None of this is possible without your time, talent, and support. Thank you for all you have done and will do to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the ministry of Cornerstone.
November is our annual pledge drive. Over the next month, you will receive a letter with an enclosed pledge card which can be returned in person or into the church office. On November 20th, we will consecrate your gifts and ask God’s blessing on this new year. I hope you will renew your pledge, restore your pledge, raise your pledge, or begin a pledge in 2023.
Having some idea of expected giving helps church leadership to make informed decisions.
Thank you again for your presence, prayers, gifts, service, and witness!
Pastor Melissa
