Spirit Lake Christmas Shoe Box Collecting Throughout September
Sharing God’s love in North Dakota (Updated Story)
Packing Parties on Saturdays, September 10th and October 8th, 9 am - 4 pm. Journey of Hope UMC, 37W040 Highland Ave, Elgin, IL 60124. Come for an hour or come for the day!
Drop off small toys, toiletries, school supplies, mittens, hats, gloves, and more at Cornerstone throughout September, then come help pack and wrap Christmas shoe boxes at the Packing Parties 9/10 and 10/8 for as long or short a period in the day as you like. The festive shoe boxes will be delivered to Spirit Lake in mid-October by our brothers and sisters at Journey of Hope UMC. Doing good feels so good! Doing good in the name of Jesus feels even better!
The children of the Spirit Lake Reservation received our Christmas boxes pre-COVID with joy and thankfulness. The mission team began collecting items for this year’s Christmas boxes in July and will continue through the month of September, when we will pack the boxes.
