Recently, I was reminded that I should always be asking, “Does this further God’s kingdom? Will my actions, my words, my decisions hurt or help the cause of Christ?”

In May, the Missions Team focuses on ways Cornerstone can support the Midwest Mission Distribution Center.

Anyone interested in yard work (or just being in the sunshine) to help beautify the church is needed and welcomed as we care for our beautiful grounds. We work on Wednesday mornings from 8 to about 11 depending on the weeds, weather, and temperatures.

Let’s talk about Cornerstone and The United Methodist Church…I will be praying for everyone, I hope you will be praying too. I also hope you will be thinking about why you are a United Methodist and what has deep meaning to your life and faith. On May 22 after worship, I will host an informational meeting in the youth room on this topic with a time for questions.

Bring your creative self and a sack lunch to Cornerstone on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 10am-2pm.

Is there any scientific evidence for life after death? What exactly does the Bible say about Heaven - and Hell? Are all near-death experiences pleasant? Come explore these questions as Cornerstone's Wednesday in the Word group discusses the book "The Case for Heaven." The group will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays in the Discipleship Room, beginning in April.

The soil has been prepared, the seeds have been sown, I look forward to growing in our love for God and neighbor with you, your family and your friends! Ah, Spring!
